I bought this yellow striped komon about one year ago, and I haven't worn it out but one time. It's a shame because it is one of my best fitting kimono, and my wine red nagoya obi matches so nicely with it. I did a quick kitsuke with it, and I am quite happy with the results. I had a dilemma between my blue obijime and green obijime. Both colors are present in small amounts in the kimono, and they both look fine, but I went with my gut and chose the blue obijime. Although looking back, the green would have been nice as well...
(In my personal view,) Green obijime gives classical impresshon. And blew obijime gives impresshon of modern, refined, refreshing, and young.
ReplyDeleteBoth obijimes are very good, blue is slightly better for you,I think.
If you change the color of obijime,Your impresshon change very much,I think.
And your komon and obi coordination is perfect,I think. ^ ^
Arigato gozimasu!
ReplyDeleteNot at all! ^ ^
ReplyDeleteSorry for spelling mistake..."impression" and "blue". Sorry.
And my husband said you're so cute,
and he said if you attend a tea-ceremony party, green obijime is suitable, and when you go to town, blue obijime is good.
Thanks for the advice! And your English is getting and better and better! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI know I'm a bit late but...
ReplyDeleteI think the blue one is better in winter time in all kitsuke, and my opinion is that the shade of green could be better for late summer and autumn (when i'm thinking of the colour of light and nature).. I agree that the blue one is more casual
I would prefer the green one 'cause it's the complementary color to the great red obi
but I must say that your kitsuke is wonderful ^^
