Mon for Darari Obi

Some of you may know that I founded a kimono-san troupe in Memphis this past year. I've been gradually collecting supplies, and while I had a pre-tied darari obi, it had no crest. So yesterday, I finally sat down and sewed the one I created for our group onto it. It is a kikyo (Chinese bellflower) underneath a moon. I found matching orange fabric, and then used gold ribbon for the lines and gold lamé for the crest. I hope you like it!

  1. Looking good! Did you applique the crest on, or stick it to the fabric somehow? It looks really great.

  2. I used gold lame fabric and fabric glue =)
