Green Ro Kakeshita

I'm so excited that I won this green ro (yes, RO) kakeshita today on YJA! It's a little bolder and brighter than what I usually use for my maiko henshin, but because it was a summer fabric, there's no way I could let that one go.

I just hope it will be here before the next event so the girls won't die of heat stroke!!!

Blue Botan Kakeshita and Pink Rose Yukata

It's been over a month since my last post! Time got away from me this past month!!

So here's just an update here on what I've bought recently:

A blue kakeshita with red and white botan:

And a black-based yukata with pink roses (and silver glitter!!):

I didn't need the kakeshita for any real reason other than I just wanted it ;) (well, maybe I'll use it for a maiko henshin since it's not as obvious of a kakeshita as some), nor did I really need the yukata, but my dance group is performing again for our local sakura festival at the end of the month, and almost everyone is wearing black-based flowery yukata. I have about 10 yukata, but none fitting that description, so I found this in a TL and well... it'll be here next week XD.

Ume Kakeshita

I don't usually look at uchikake and kakeshita (since I really have no use for them), but I saw this lively ume kakeshita for $34 last night and thought, "This may just work for maiko henshin!" Since the hem is already padded, all I'll need to do is lengthen it and add tucks in the shoulder and sleeves. The design is bright, but since it's only ume and not a bunch of other clearly wedding designs, I think I can get away with it. ^_^
